FRP for Sugarcane for 2024-25 Season
The Indian government releases Fair and Remunerative Prices (FRP) for sugarcane. The sugar mills will only purchase sugarcane from farmers at this minimum price.
For the sugarcane season of 2024–2025, the minimum sugarcane FRP is Rs 315.10 per quintal, with a sugar recovery rate of no more than 9.5%.
At a sugar recovery rate of 10.25%, the sugar recovery rate is Rs 340 per quintal. With an additional recovery of 0.1% sugar, the farmer will receive an additional price of Rs. 3.32. On the other hand, if the recovery is less than 0.1%, the same amount will be subtracted.
