West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the Prime Minister of “political discrimination” during a crucial NITI Aayog conference in Delhi, which was organized to provide states a chance to voice their concerns. The other chief ministers of the INDIA group boycotted the conference, with Ms. Banerjee the only one from a state not ruled by the BJP to be there.

“I told you (Centre) not to treat state governments any differently. My mic was muffled, but I wanted to say something. People spoke for ten to twenty minutes before me, and I was only permitted to speak for five,” Ms. Banerjee told reporters.
